Heiko Gassner

Heiko Gassner was born in Regensburg, Germany, in 1980. He received the diploma degree in sport science from the Technische Universität München, Germany, in 2008 and the Ph.D. degree in sport science from the Universität Regensburg, Germany, in 2013. From 2009 to 2014, he was a Research Assistant with the Institute of Sport Science in Regensburg and performed 3d motion capture analysis in patients with Parkinson’s disease. Since 2014, he has been a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Molecular Neurology, Universitätsklinikum Erlangen and has been responsible for sensor-based gait and posturography analysis in patients with Parkinson’s disease. His research interests include motion analysis, gait analysis, 3d motion capture, postural stability, posture, posturography and neurorehabilitation especially in patients with Parkinson’s disease and older people. He is the author of two monographs, three peer-reviewed articles as well as more than 15 congress contributions and invited speaker talks.
